Dryer vent cleaning in Dallas–Fort Worth
Dryer vent cleaning clears the lint that builds up in the duct between your dryer and the outside of your home. According to the U.S. Fire Administration, failure to clean is the leading cause of home dryer fires, about 34% of them. We brush the full run, clear the exterior hood or roof cap and check airflow before and after.
Signs your home needs it
- Clothes take more than one cycle to dry
- The dryer or laundry room gets very hot
- A burning or musty smell when the dryer runs
- The outside vent flap barely opens, or lint collects around it
- Your vent exits through the roof or runs a long way through the attic
- It hasn’t been cleaned in the last year
Not every home needs service right away, and if yours doesn’t, we’ll tell you.
What happens, step by step
Check airflow
We measure how well the dryer exhausts before we touch anything, so you can see the difference after.
Disconnect and inspect
The dryer is pulled out and the transition hose checked for crushing, kinks or plastic and foil hoses that should be replaced.
Brush the full run
Rotary brushes and vacuum clear the duct end to end, from the wall to the exterior hood or roof cap.
Clear the outside termination
Lint, nests and debris are removed from the hood or roof cap so the flap opens freely.
Reconnect and verify
The dryer is reconnected, airflow is measured again and you get photos of what came out.

Dryer Vent Cleaning: questions
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
Once a year for most families. Large households, long runs and roof terminations usually need it more often.
Can you clean a roof-vented dryer?
Yes. We clear the run from inside and the roof cap from outside when it’s safe to access.
Should I replace the foil hose behind my dryer?
Plastic and thin foil transition hoses crush easily and trap lint. We’ll show you what you have and replace it with semi-rigid metal duct if you want.
