Preparing for a new baby

Get your home’s air system ready before the baby comes home

Most parents-to-be repaint the nursery and wash every blanket. The system that delivers the air to that room deserves the same care: the return, ducts, coil and blower that all the air passes through. We clean every part under negative pressure, fit a MERV 13 filter if your system takes one, and show you photos of each step.

Why it matters now

What’s different at this moment

The whole house shares one system

Air from every room goes back to the same air handler and comes out again through the nursery register. Cleaning only the nursery vent leaves the source in place.

No fragrances, no ozone

We don’t fog scented chemicals or run ozone machines. EPA warns that ozone can irritate the lungs, and it doesn’t remove the dust in your ducts.

Humidity matters as much as dust

Allergists recommend 35–50% relative humidity indoors. A clean coil and a clear drain line are what let your AC dry the air in a North Texas summer.

Nursery-ready air

What we do

  • Every supply and return run cleaned, registers and grilles washed
  • Blower wheel, evaporator coil, drain pan and condensate line cleaned
  • MERV 13 filter fitted if your system is rated for it
  • Humidity reading and airflow check at the nursery register
  • Dryer vent cleaned on request, before the laundry doubles
  • Before-and-after photos of every component

Every item is listed on your written estimate before work begins.

Good timing

  • Book 4 to 8 weeks before the due date, after painting, new carpet and furniture assembly, so the dust from those projects comes out too.
  • You can stay home: the system is held under negative pressure and we protect floors and furniture room by room.
  • Change the filter on schedule afterward; we’ll send you a reminder.

Questions

Can we stay home during the cleaning?

Yes. The system is held under negative pressure with HEPA-filtered collection, so debris is pulled out of the house rather than into your rooms. If you’d rather be out, we can work while you’re away.

Will duct cleaning keep my baby from getting sick?

No one can honestly promise that, and EPA notes that duct cleaning hasn’t been shown to prevent health problems. What we can show you is the dust and buildup removed from your system, a clean coil and the right filter, documented in photos.

When should we book?

Four to eight weeks before the due date, after painting, flooring and furniture assembly. That way the dust from those projects is removed in the same visit.
