Mold remediation in Dallas–Fort Worth
Mold grows where moisture stays. Remediation starts by finding and stopping the water source, then containing the area, running HEPA air filtration, removing affected porous materials and cleaning the rest. In Texas, mold projects of 25 contiguous square feet or more fall under state rules from TDLR, and we’ll explain up front what applies to your home.
Signs your home needs it
- A musty smell that comes back after cleaning
- Visible growth on walls, ceilings, the air handler or around vents
- A past leak, flood or water stain
- High indoor humidity or condensation on ducts and vents
Not every home needs service right away, and if yours doesn’t, we’ll tell you.
What happens, step by step
Find the moisture
We trace the source with moisture meters and inspection, because mold returns if the water does.
Contain
The work area is sealed off and kept under negative pressure so spores don’t travel.
Filter the air
HEPA air scrubbers run throughout the job.
Remove and clean
Affected porous materials are removed and bagged; hard surfaces are HEPA-vacuumed and cleaned.
Dry and verify
The area is dried and checked before it’s closed back up.
Exactly what’s included
Moisture source
Leak, condensation or drainage cause identified and corrected first; mold returns if moisture does.
Containment
Work area isolated and held under negative pressure to prevent cross-contamination.
Air filtration
HEPA air scrubbers run for the duration of the work.
Removal and cleaning

Mold Remediation: questions
Is mold in my AC dangerous?
Any mold in the system should be dealt with, and the moisture that feeds it fixed. We clean the coil, pan and drain line and check the ducts.
Can I just spray bleach on it?
EPA doesn’t recommend relying on bleach. Removing the growth and fixing the moisture is what keeps it from returning.
